Parker Guitars is a manufacturer of unique and lightweight modern electric guitars and basses, started by Ken Parker in the early 90s. Ken Parker is an accomplished luthier. Beginning in a workshop in Rochester, New York he designed and crafted electric guitars without depending on the examples of traditional acoustic and electric guitar design. Contrasts between his guitars and others include : Thin, lightweight guitars, generally made from lighter woods like poplar and spruce (although there is a mahogany Fly which is still fairly light). Parker Fly Bass Mojo
The Fly Mojo Bass with it's four strings delivers rich and clear tones with a ferocious low end and a big fat sexy sound. It's got a uniquely resonant and lightweight Sitka Spruce body, a mahogany neck, and active EMG-35CS pickups with a traditional tone control. A Carbon cloth veil reinforces and stabilizes the neck, and is combined with a unique deep-pocket neck joint. Twelve layers of mahogany travel uninterrupted from beneath the bridge pickup all the way to the headstock giving Parker basses their even tone, up and down the neck.
