Vater is a drum stick manufacturing company. The company was founded by Alan and Ron Vater in the 1970\'s. The two are grandsons of Jack Adams, who opened Jack\'s Drum Shop in Boston in the 1940s.
The company claims to be \"one of the world\'s oldest\" drum stick manufacturers.
Besides drum sticks, Vater also also manufactures a variety of timpani mallets, marimba mallets, vibraphone mallets, brushes, specialty sticks, silence mutes, stick bags, drink holders and other accessories.
