Although Ovation has made many custom double neck guitars in the past this marks the first time a production model will be available to players seeking the versatility and convenience of a multi-neck guitar.

This newly designed acoustic/electric features a 12 string top neck and a 6 string neck below with a toggle switch that allows the player to amplify either both neck simultaneously or the individual necks alone through a modified OP30 preamp.

Ovation has also developed a new shallow cutaway 3/4 size roundback body specifically for this instrument. The necks are full-scale 25 length.

OP30 Pre-Amp: Rich bright and super quiet the OP30 raises the bar in its class. Three bands of EQ plus the ability to shift the mid band to either a 450Hz or 970Hz gives you complete control over your sound. There's also a Pre-Shape circuit that not only lifts the bass and treble but also reduces rumble from frequencies below 40Hz. And of course there's an on-board chromatic tuner.
