Input Channels 8 mono channels feature high quality preamps, each with phantom power, channel insert point and low cut filter; 3 band EQ with swept mid frequency and 3 auxiliary sends. In addition the TXM16 has four stereo channels with inputs on both TRS jacks and unbalanced RCA phono connections to accept line level sources. A 24-bit internal effects processor is included with returns to the stereo buss and monitor sends so performers can monitor with effects on stage. All three auxiliary sends can also be used to feed external effects processors. Master Section The TXM16's master section is particularly well-specified. Faders are provided for the two monitor sends, an additional CD/Tape input (RCA phono connectors), stereo master output and mono output. The mono output can be used either for a secondary speaker feed or as a dedicated subwoofer output and a built-in variable frequency crossover is provided for this purpose. The master section also includes 12 segment LED metering and a global channel mute switch, illuminated for ease of viewing. Power Amplifers The TXM16s power amplifier section is rated at 500 Watts RMS per side or 1000 Watts RMS in bridged mono mode. The extra headroom provided by this amount of power means the TXM can handle any source material you throw at it and still deliver smooth, distortion-free sound ,with power in reserve. The two power amplifiers are assignable to one of four output options - stereo master output, mono master output plus single auxiliary (monitor) send, 2 auxiliary sends and bridged mono modes. 9-band graphic equalisers are provided for master and monitor outputs. A peak limiter prevents accidental overloading and damage to speakers. Output connectors are provided on Speakon and 1/4" jacks and both outputs can be used simultaneously, allowing four speaker cabinets to be connected at any time. The build quality of the TXM series mixers exceeds expectations for a mixer in its price bracket. The chassis is an all metal construction, more than capable of withstanding the rigours of touring. Metal sockets are used for input and output sockets and the large carrying handle makes the TXM a breeze to transport. The TXM16 also includes rack mounting ears as standard.
