As with it’s passive sibling the SM6P the SM6A features a 150mm Paramid bass cone with 32mm voice coil. The bass unit is coupled to a 26mm ring dome treble unit which extends high frequencies to 30kHz and above.

An integral active crossover emulates the amplitude response of the SM6P passive crossover whilst avoiding the distortion heating effects and losses associated with passive networks.

The active monitor features a discreet transistor amplifier (160W LF + 100W HF) with independent LF/HF power supplies to provide powerful reference-quality amplification without the need for external components.
