Cancelling an item:


As per the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel your contract for the purchase of any item within seven working days of delivery. You can cancel an order at any time before we despatch it to you.

To ensure the item is returned to us within the statutory seven days, we recommend you send it back to us via a next day signed for service within five days of you taking delivery of the item.

We cannot accept cancellations where the item has been used, damaged or otherwise not in a resalable condition. This includes any damage incurred as the item(s) are being returned to us.

For this reason we recommend careful packaging and the use of an appropriately insured delivery service for any contract cancellations.

Important: Make sure you include the packing slip and a covering letter detailing your order number and the fact that you are returning the item under the contract cancellation guidelines. This will ensure we can process your cancellation promptly.

To cancel this contract, you need to notify us in writing by sending an e-mail, letter or fax, giving details of the cancellation. If you prefer, you are welcome to speak to one of our Customer Service advisors on 0844 8844 765 who will gladly help.

Already Despatched
If the product has already been despatched, the contract is considered cancelled when the goods have been returned and received by us. You are liable for the costs of returning the item(s) to us in perfect condition. This refund will be carried out as soon as possible within 30 days of the notice of cancellation.

Transit Damage Liability on Returns
You are entirely responsible for the item(s) from the moment you recieve them until they are recieved by us. Please ensure you treat the item(s) with the utmost care to avoid damges which you will be liable for. We highly recommend using an insured service to send things back to us so that if it does get damaged in transit you can claim back your money from your carrier.

Refunds


Please note that if you are returning an item because it is surplus to requirements or otherwise simply not wanted we will refund the value of the item plus the original Postage and packaging fees. Please note that if the courier is not able to deliver to the supplied address, the item is not collected from the depot and is subsequently returned to us at our expense - this cost will also be included in the postage and packaging fees.

Transit Damage


We send everything out with a suitably insured service which means all items are completely covered. If your delivery arrives damaged you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can claim on this insurance for you.

If you fail to inform us within this time frame we will not be able to claim on the insurance and therefore will not be able to replace your item. For this reason we highly recommend you immediately check your delivery for any damage and report anything found straight away.

Once you have contacted us within the 48 hours of receiving a damaged item we will immediately arrange a replacement for you and no extra shipping charges will be incurred. There may be a slight delay depending on stock, however we will do our best to get your replacement item to you as soon as possible.

Returns - Faulty Goods Within 30 Days


In the unlikely event of your purchase developing a fault within the first 30 days email us on customerservices@playrecord.net or call customer services on 0844 8844 765 Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm GMT (Standard Rate Call Charge), to arrange for a replacement. Please see the cancellations and refunds information if you decide to cancel a faulty item.

Our returns policy is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

For small items we might ask you to arrange the return postage. We will refund or credit you with goods to the value of the postage costs incurred

PlayRecord.Net will refund any costs you incur in sending the goods back to ourselves on the condition that you contact PlayRecord.Net first to agree the delivery method. Please contact our customer services team who will give you full instructions.

You are free to use an alternative service, however we will only be prepared to refund to the value of the service we would recommend for that item.

You are responsible for the goods until we have received them back. Please remember to get a proof of postage. Please send all unused faulty goods to the following address:

Returns - Fault Within 12 Months


In the rare instances that an item develops a fault after the initial 30 days, but within 12 months of receiving the item, simply return the item to us via a suitably insured service and we will arrange a warranty repair or replacement. We will then send the item back to you via our next day courier service.

If you Prefer PlayRecord.Net to Arrange the Collection and Return


The minimum charge for us to collect an item is Ģ20. This includes insurance cover up to Ģ120. For items that will need extra insurance there is a surcharge of Ģ12.99 with cover up to Ģ15,000

If you are cancelling your order and would like PlayRecord.Net to arrange a collection of the item(s) then we will deduct the cost of the collection from the total amount to be refunded. Otherwise we will ask you to pay over the phone before we will arrange the collection for you. For oversize items this charge will increase accordingly. It is your duty to return the goods to us and take reasonable care to see that they are received by PlayRecord.Net in the condition you received them. This means that the goods need to be carefully packaged to avoid damage in transit. Please get in touch if you need any advice on the best way to pack your item.

Consumables


Please note that items that can be reasonably classified as a consumable are not covered if the fault is due to general wear and tear or misuse. This includes, but is not limited to, guitar strings, drum sticks, drum skins, leads and plectrums unless otherwise stated in the product description or packaging.
